By now most of us have become aware of the terrible suffering of the people of Niger in Africa. Last year’s crops were devastated by drought and locusts so that 60 to 80% of crops were lost. Approximately 3.6 million people are facing famine. Catholic Relief Services began responding 10 months ago but their services need to expand to reach more starving families, Please keep the people of Niger in your prayers.
