On February 8th Bishop Joseph Perry, our
Episcopal Vicar, met with our school parents to discuss the future of
St. Kieran School. Bishop Perry reiterated the Archdiocese’s support for
St. Kieran School and reassured the parents that we will be opening
again for the coming year.
Last year’s school budget shortfall was completely met
through the generous bequest of a deceased parishioner. This year I
would like to personally thank the many school parents who have made a
special effort to increase their weekly support for the parish so that
the parish, in turn, can continue its support for the school.
I am also deeply grateful to the parishioners who have
contributed to the
Godparent’s Fund that supports families who might otherwise be
unable to attend SKS. It is my hope to expand the Godparent Fund in the
months ahead, in order to increase support for our school.
The School Board and the parish Finance Council have
also worked hard to find creative ways to support the ministry of SKS.
Please pray for the success of the educational ministries in our parish. |
