1)
Say, “I will pray for you” to a friend, family member, or
colleague who has shared some personal concern or difficulty.
2)
Make the sign of the cross when praying before a meal in a
restaurant.
3)
Display a religious article in your room or office.
Wear a cross on a chain or other religious
articles. You might be surprised how many times this will start a
conversation about your faith.
4)
Invite someone who has been away from the church for a while to
attend Mass with you.
5)
Begin at home. Husbands
and wives should help each other to take their faith seriously and grow in
it. Parents are the first to
help their children open their minds and hearts to Jesus by teaching them how to
pray and giving them their first religion lessons.
6)
Offer to help your neighbor even when it’s not convenient. Take time in your life for those who are suffering or in
need.
7)
When you see God working in your life, point it out to others.
We are all enriched by the personal witness of others.
8)
Talk to friends about the good experiences you have had with the
Church.
9)
Invite friends to social functions at your parish.
10)
At Mass, warmly greet others whom you do not know. Sometimes members of our faith community fall away from
Church because they feel alienated from others.
11)
Tactfully change the direction of a conversation at home or school
or work when things take an
uncharitable or gossipy turn.
12)
Continue to comfort a grieving friend or neighbor well after the
funeral. The process of
dealing with a loss takes a long time.
Offer to accompany the person who is grieving to social activities
or make yourself available just to talk.
13)
Always give thanks for all that you have received.
14)
Forgive someone who has wronged you.
Ask forgiveness from someone you have wronged.

You may want to cut them out of the bulletin and place them in your
prayer book or on the refrigerator. Practice
one or two a week and become an evangelizer for Christ.
