St. Kieran Parish has
benefited greatly through the hard work, sacrifice, and donations of
time, talent and treasure of the Buildings and Grounds committee,
and especially with the recent addition of our school's science lab.
The estimated cost savings to the parish of the construction,
equipment, ventilation system, electrical work and cabinetry is
conservatively approximated at $35,000 to $40,000.
In addition to this, the
removal of the air conditioners from the gym windows and the
replacement of glass panes cost the parish ZERO--$0! The work done
by the east entryway and the west entrance of the library wing was
also generously donated by this committee. The back parking lot
driveway accesses were filled in, smoothed and level out through the
generosity of an anonymous donor. Again, this cost the parish
NOTHING!
These capital
improvements and projects which could have cost the parish $50,000
to $60,000 (this is a conservative estimate) were completed by
individuals who made significant personal sacrifice in support of
all the families who attend our school and also those parishioners
who use our parish facilities.
I am personally grateful
and appreciative to these men, in particular and to all those who
give so selflessly and generously to enhance our common life
together. We all need to do our part so that together we can share
in the abundance that God continually gives to us. May the Lord God
bless and reward the kindness of all those who give so much in time,
talent and treasure for the good of this parish.
With Sincere
Appreciation,
Anthony Simone and Father Joe |
